Celas Maya is one of the Accredited Centres of the Cervantes Institute, together with about 30 other institutions worldwide. This means that our teaching and facilities have been approved on a European level by the Cervantes Institute, and that students are guaranteed of receiving high quality classes.

Celas Maya Spanish School is an official Examination Centre for the Cervantes Institute, and offers the DELE-exam, the only official Spanish exam. The 'Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE)' is issued by the Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Spanish Ministry for Education, Social Policies and Sports.

 

The Cervantes Institute is the Spanish Government's official language and culture network, with centers throughout the world. The Cervantes Institute prepares students for the official DELE (Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language) exams, and awards its own certificates to those who successfully complete each level.

The University of Salamanca collaborates with the Cervantes Institute in the development of the examinations and in the marking of the examination papers. The diploma is internationally renowned.

 

The exam comes in the following levels of Spanish:

 

* Diploma de Español Nivel A1 (Starter level)

* Diploma de Español Nivel A2

* Diploma de Español Nivel B1 (Inicial / Beginner level)

* Diploma de Español Nivel B2 (Intermedio / Intermediate level)

* Diploma de Español Nivel C1

* Diploma de Español Nivel C2 (Superior / Proficiency level)

 

The exam takes place three times a year. In 2013, the exams take place on May 25th, August 23rd and November 23rd 2013 at Celas Maya Spanish School.

The official prices for the exam in 2013, established by the Cervantes Institute, are:

Registration can be done in the exam centre where the exam will be taken, for example at Celas Maya. Registrations for the coming exam in August 2013 are open from July 1st until July 26th 2013.

D.E.L.E. Preparation Courses

The DELE exam is an official diploma which is obtained by taking the exam at Celas Maya Spanish School. The exam consists of specific themes in which the student will be tested. To prepare the student for the exam, special preparation courses for the DELE-exam can be taken. We will work with the materials provided by the Cervantes Institute, exams from previous years, and special books.
The courses are given by teachers that are familiar with the DELE exam, materials and contents. They have also completed specific courses and trainings to prepare them for instruction.

Hourly rate for complementing schedules above: Q74

Includes:
- specialized classes corresponding with the contents and requirements of the DELE-exam
- teacher trained specifically in preparing students for DELE
- use of materials especially meant for DELE
