I was born in a town called Pueblo Nuevo which means new village. I have 3 brothers . I am the second child and at the age of 7 I moved to HueHuetenango, about 100 kilometeres from Xela, to study in the primary school. In 1996 our family moved to Quetzaltenango where I studied in business school and also studied English. I graduated as a business secretary in 1998. After that I attended San Carlos University and received a degree of Spanish teacher as a second language and also received a diploma as a tourist guide.

I continue my education by attending the teacher training workshops , mostly conducted here by Celas Maya. I have worked at Celas Maya for 9 years.I am married and have a 9 year old girl.
