By using the services of Celas Maya, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Academic Services and Evaluation

  • Spanish Level Test: The free online test is an informative tool and does not constitute an official certification. Final placement will be validated by our academic team upon arrival.

  • Intellectual Property: All website content, course materials, and images are the property of Celas Maya and may not be reproduced without written permission.

2. Enrollment, Payments, and Cancellations

  • Payments: Registration fees are non-refundable. Full tuition and homestay fees must be paid on or before the first day of classes.

  • Refund Policy: * Cancellations made more than 14 days before the start date: Full refund of tuition (minus registration fee).

    • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date: A penalty fee equivalent to one week of tuition/homestay will apply.

    • No refunds are issued for voluntary early departures, late arrivals, or missed classes.

3. Conduct and Liability

  • Code of Conduct: Celas Maya maintains a respectful learning environment. We reserve the right to dismiss any student, without refund, who engages in illegal, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior toward staff, other students, or host families.

  • Insurance & Health: Students are responsible for obtaining their own medical and travel insurance. Celas Maya is not liable for accidents, illnesses, theft, or loss of personal property during the program.

  • Emergency Contact: By enrolling, the student authorizes the school to contact their designated emergency contact in case of health or safety concerns.

4. Governing Law

Any legal disputes related to these terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala and resolved in the courts of Quetzaltenango.
